About me

Hello, I am Is, or Isobel - I am a designer maker with a specialised interest in handicraft and craft culture making. Originally from Reading but currently living in SW London finishing my degree at Kingston School of art.

I love to work with textures and joints, drawing inspiration from traditional methods and innovative techniques. Material exploration is an important part of my process - I have focused on woodwork and diverse cultural methods of protecting and changing it but all forms of learning inspire me.

Outside of the studio, you will likely find me in the workshop, on my bike or at a folk music event.
